Khalil Shakir Hauls In Two Passes On Saturday
9 months agoBuffalo Bills wide receiver Khalil Shakir caught two of his four targets for 25 yards in Saturday's 23-19 preseason win over the Indianapolis Colts. The 23-year-old's day was highlighted by a strong 20-yard catch over the middle of the field in a third-and-long situation to keep alive an eventual scoring drive. Shakir looks to be Buffalo's starting slot man in three-WR sets in 2023 after logging 10 catches on 20 targets, 161 yards, and one touchdown last season. The 2022 fifth-round pick might represent a sleeper draft choice in the deepest of fantasy leagues this summer, but Shakir will have a hard time finding targets even in a pass-first Bills offense behind Stefon Diggs, Gabe Davis, and Dalton Kincaid among others.
