Jaylen Brown 2018-2019 Player Outlook
6 years agoBoston Celtics shooting guard Jaylen Brown will begin the season as a non-factor in many fantasy leagues. Brown had a solid season in 2018, averaging 14.5 points and 4.9 rebounds per contest in addition to shooting 46.5 percent from the field and nabbing a steal per game. Last year's big free agent acquisition for the Celtics, small forward Gordon Hayward, went down for the entire 2017-2018 season in the first outing of the year which led to more opportunities for Brown. However, he is expected to be 100 percent come the start of the regular season. In addition, small forward/power forward Jayson Tatum played extremely well in the playoffs and Boston will look to give him a chance to shine once again as well. All of this plus point guard Kyrie Irving coming back healthy means that Brown will get fewer shots and won't have the type of production as last season, thus leading to a regression in stats.
