11 months agoInterest in Baltimore Orioles closer Zach Britton has reportedly picked up steam. With the Orioles reported Manny Machado deal set to be finalized on Wednesday, there's a good chance the team acts quickly to move Britton. The closer is a free agent at the end of the season and has pitched to a 3.68 ERA and a 13/9 K/BB ratio with four saves in 2018. Britton was an All-Star from 2015-16 and likely would've been voted again in 2017 if he didn't suffer an Achilles injury. He has been linked to the Cubs and will likely see interest from bullpen needy teams such as the Astros and Indians. If Britton is moved to a team where he won't see save opportunities he will hold little fantasy value. Owners must be on the lookout as the Orioles look to proceed with a full on fire sale.--Dan Fappiano
