Elijah Moore 2021 Outlook: Intriguing Sleeper at WR
4 years agoNew York Jets rookie wide receiver Elijah Moore is currently buried on the depth chart behind Corey Davis, Denzel Mims, and Jamison Crowder, which has created a buying opportunity. This is a talented wide receiver with second-round draft capital who should be able to make an immediate impact. Moore is a polished route-runner who can make big plays out of the slot. While this is a position currently occupied by Crowder, the veteran receiver is a cut candidate this summer. If Moore can turn heads in camp, you'll likely see the team embrace the youth movement and let their rookie take over Crowder's role. We also need to consider that this is an offense without a top wide receiver. Davis is a solid possession receiver and Mims has upside as a sophomore, but none of these players have established themselves as the top option for the Jets. It's not out of the realm of possibility for Moore to immediately become quarterback Zach Wilson's favorite target. Moore is currently ranked as WR79 in FantasyPros Consensus Rankings, behind Jakobi Meyers and Sammy Watkins. This makes him a must-target because of the high upside at a cheap price.
