Donovan Mitchell Out Against Pistons
3 months agoCleveland Cavaliers guard Donovan Mitchell (knee) is out for Friday's game against the Detroit Pistons. Mitchell won't be able to battle through soreness in his left knee, missing a great matchup on Friday. Detroit holds the second-worst defensive efficiency rating (117.3), allows the fourth-most points per game (121.3), and surrenders more FanDuel points to opposing point guards than any other team in the league this season. The 27-year-old five-time All-Star has returned first-round fantasy value on the campaign as a whole, and over his latest 20 appearances, he's putting up 29.0 points, 6.8 dimes, 5.6 rebounds, 3.8 triples, and 1.8 steals per contest. Mitchell hopes to return on Sunday versus the New York Knicks. While this game features a weak 219.5-point implied total, Darius Garland deserves heavy DFS rostership with the controls to the Cavs offense all to himself, as Caris LeVert (elbow) is also sidelined.
