Donovan Mitchell Misses Shootaround, Iffy Against Jazz
5 months agoCleveland Cavaliers guard Donovan Mitchell (illness) was not present at morning shootaround and is officially listed as questionable on Wednesday versus the Utah Jazz. Mitchell has come down with an illness, suddenly threatening his availability for a "revenge-game" tilt against the team that traded him away two offseasons ago. The dynamic superstar is racking up a sensational 27.7 points, 5.5 assists, 3.1 three-pointers, 1.8 steals, and 88.7% shooting from the charity stripe on 6.0 free-throw attempts per game in 2023-24. Caris LeVert would be the direct fantasy beneficiary of Mitchell's absence if he needs to miss his sixth game of the year on Wednesday, averaging 17.1 points, 5.1 assists, 3.9 rebounds, and 2.4 threes in 32.6 minutes over 15 games without Mitchell since 2022-23. Craig Porter Jr. would also be on the DFS radar as a budget play in this case.
