De'Aaron Fox Not Returning Against Rockets
7 months agoSacramento Kings guard De'Aaron Fox (ankle) is listed as out for Monday's game against the Houston Rockets with the right ankle sprain he suffered last Sunday. This is slightly disappointing after The Athletic's Shams Charania reported last Thursday that Fox may have been eyeing a return either this past Saturday or perhaps for Monday's matchup with Houston. Fox's initial timetable had him penciled out for about one week of action, however, so he could be closing in a return. The 25-year-old All-Star's next chance to suit up comes on Wednesday versus the Portland Trail Blazers, and he should continue to be deemed day-to-day ahead of that tilt. Davion Mitchell is looking at another game of low-end streaming value as a Kings starter, while more responsibility is put on the plate of sixth man Malik Monk against Houston.
