Recent Update

9/25:Boston Red Sox designated hitter Hanley Ramirez is playing first base and hitting fourth against Blue Jays starter Brett Anderson on Monday after sitting out all three games over the weekend against the Reds in a National League park. Han-Ram has tailed off drastically in September, and it may have to due with nagging injuries. He's not a must-start despite the good matchup and great lineup spot. Outfielder Andrew Benintendi is taking the day off against a lefty. Chris Young replaces him in left field and will hit seventh. Young, a noted lefty killer, is a great DFL sleeper selection.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller

Beat Writer Chatter

  • @alexspeier: Verlander kept going to the slider. Benintendi wasn't far from driving another one out. Sale coming out for inning No. 5 of relief.
  • @alexspeier: Benintendi, evidently miffed that Devers took his title of youngest Red Sox to homer in a playoff game, goes deep on 2-2 pitch. Sox up, 3-2.
  • @PeteAbe: Benintendi homers off Verlander. This game just keeps getting more epic.
  • @IanMBrowne: Benintendi unloads and belts a two-run homer off Verlander. Red Sox ahead for the first time today at 3-2.
  • @IanMBrowne: Red Sox lineup in Game 4. Pedroia, Bogaerts, Benintendi, Betts, Moreland, Ramirez, Devers, Vazquez, Bradley, Porcello SP.
  • @PeteAbe: Game 4: Pedroia 2B, Bogaerts SS, Benintendi LF, Betts RF, Moreland 1B, Ramirez DH, Devers 3B, Vázquez C, Bradley Jr. CF, and Porcello RHP
  • @alexspeier: In Game 161, McCullers was fantastic one time through the order then faded. He walks Benintendi to open the 7th. Devenski warming.
  • @IanMBrowne: Game 3. Bogaerts SS, Pedroia 2B, Benintendi LF, Betts RF, Moreland 1B, Ramirez DH, Devers 3B, Leon C, Bradley Jr. CF, Fister RHP
