BALLER MOVE: Start in 10+ Team Leagues
ANALYSIS: This Corbin Carroll drop-off needs to be studied. Since injuring his shoulder on a swing back on July 6, 2023 in a blowout loss to the New York Mets, Carroll is batting a mediocre .255 (98-for-385) with just eight home runs and 35 RBI across this 102-game period. He's at least scored 68 runs and stolen 35 bases during this span, though.
Additionally, Carroll launched only two homers in 17 postseason games last year and zero in 19 Cactus League outings during spring training. The 23-year-old reigning National League Rookie of the Year flashed five-tool potential during his breakout 2023 season akin to a young Mike Trout, however, and perhaps a three-game set with the division-rival San Diego Padres starting on May 3 is just what the doctor ordered for the start of a rebound.

In 19 career games against the Padres, Carroll is hitting a strong .310 (22-for-71) with two long balls, six doubles, 12 runs scored, and one swipe. The lefty-hitting 2023 All-Star gets three right-handed pitchers this weekend.
In Week 7, Carroll gets a three-game series first with the Cincinnati Reds and then the Baltimore Orioles. He went 9-for-22 (.409) with three big flies, two triples, seven walks, and two pilfers in seven games against the Reds in 2023, and the speedy outfielder hit .385 (5-for-13) with a solo blast and a double in three outings against Baltimore last year. Carroll is a start for the end of Week 6 and all of Week 7 in all fantasy leagues despite the rocky start to the campaign.
