Pelicans Rule Out Brandon Ingram
6 months agoThe New Orleans Pelicans have ruled out guard/forward Brandon Ingram (knee) for Thursday's game versus the Detroit Pistons. The Pelicans are now categorizing Ingram's injury as right knee tendinitis, which initially scratched him from Monday's starting lineup against the Golden State Warriors. Tuesday's MRI revealed no structural damage to the 26-year-old All-Star's knee, so we'll continue to assume that he is day-to-day. We'll get the next update on Ingram's status leading into Saturday's interconference tilt with the Atlanta Hawks. 2023 first-round pick Jordan Hawkins has collected 35 and 37 minutes respectively in his last two games without Ingram, so we'd expect a similar arrangement on Thursday. With Zion Williamson (rest) getting the night off, there should be plenty of DFS budget plays to pick from in New Orleans' injury-riddled rotation.
