Garrett Mitchell Starts Rehab Assignment On Friday
8 months agoMilwaukee Brewers outfielder Garrett Mitchell (shoulder) commenced a rehab assignment at Triple-A Nashville on Friday. This is a pleasant surprise for Milwaukee after the 25-year-old sustained a torn labrum in his non-throwing shoulder in mid-April, which forecasted for him to miss the rest of 2023. Unfortunately for fantasy managers, Mitchell is unlikely to make much of an impact during the fantasy playoffs with any potential return not arriving until after Sep. 24, which marks the end of the Triple-A season. The speedy Mitchell will try to offer a jolt to a first-place Brewers club that hasn't received much out of his replacements with a .711 OPS from their center fielders. Mitchell hit .259 with a .772 OPS, three home runs, and six RBI during 58 at-bats in the spring.
