Michael Lorenzen’s Next Start Pushed Back A Day
9 months agoPhiladelphia Phillies starting pitcher Michael Lorenzen is seeing his next start shifted to next Friday against the Washington Nationals. The 31-year-old was originally on tap for next Thursday's start against the Toronto Blue Jays and Kevin Gausman. It should be music to fantasy managers' ears after Lorenzen just no-hit the Nats in his last start, and he simultaneously avoids a rigid road test versus the Jays. It also shouldn't come as much of a surprise, either, after the right-handed Lorenzen fired a whopping 124 pitches in Wednesday's masterful showing. The 2023 All-Star will look to keep the good times rolling since joining the Phillies, having given up only two runs across 17 innings thus far.
