Brusdar Graterol Set To Throw Off A Mound
2 months agoLos Angeles Dodgers relief pitcher Brusdar Graterol (shoulder) says he feels "great" and is scheduled to throw off a mound on Tuesday. Graterol started the season on the 15-day injured list with a sore right shoulder, and he'll look to progress to bullpen sessions sometime in the near future if all continues to go well in his recovery. After attaining a sparkling 1.20 ERA, 0.96 WHIP, and 48:12 K:BB across 67 1/3 innings with the Dodgers a year ago, the 25-year-old Venezuelan right-hander is set to occupy a high-leverage role upon his return and perhaps receive the occasional save chance. In the meantime, Evan Phillips has tossed 2 1/3 hitless frames and picked up two saves and should dominate ninth-inning work until Graterol returns to help LA's bullpen.
