DraftKings Daily Fantasy Basketball Lineup Picks (10/31/16): NBA DFS Advice

Only four games on the slate for Monday Night DFS hoops. Chris Paul, Jimmy Butler, and DeMar DeRozan have all started the season off hot and should definitely be the first options when deciding who you should build your team around. Don't be afraid to take all three and then some of the guys off the list below.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy NBA lineup picks for DraftKings on 10/31/16. The DFS lineup picks will range from some of the elite players, to mid-priced options, and value plays on DraftKings. Without wasting anymore time, let's get down to business!

DraftKings DFS Guards

Chris Paul – PG, LAC ($8.500)

The Clippers have only played one game so far but they looked really good. Paul put up 27 points, 5 boards, and 5 assists against the Trailblazers. He will be taking on talented young guards again tonight in Phoenix. Expect Paul to put on a teaching lesson for Eric Bledsoe, Brandon Knight, and Devin Booker. There are no signs of age or regression with CP3 so a 20 point and 10 assist season would be the expectation. Paul is definitely expensive but everyone will have him in their lineups and he is well worth it.

Jeremy Lin – PG, BKN ($6,300)

Lin’s last stat line (21 pts, 9 rebs, 9 asts) was something that hasn’t happened in a Nets uniform since the Jason Kidd days. Brooklyn’s offense runs through Jeremy Lin. He is the prime ball handler and facilitator. Expect both the Bulls and Nets to go up and down the court despite Chicago not being the youngest team. Isaiah Thomas was able to go off for 26 points against the Bulls on their opening night. Rondo and Wade are not the most aggressive defenders in their old age and should be letting guards score on them all year.

Bojan Bogdanovic – SG/SF, BKN ($4,600)

Bogdanovic will consistently be one of the better bang for your buck options out there. He had a humongous summer with his national team and has slid that form right into the regular season. After pouring in 26 points and eight boards against the Bucks in a loss, it is obvious that Bojan has the confidence and the green light necessary to consistently go off. While Lin might be the Nets most important ball handler and playmaker, Bojan is definitely Brooklyn’s most lethal scorer. While having Lin and Bogdanovic in your lineup might make you one of the worst teams in the NBA, having them in your fantasy lineup is a very reasonable and potentially profitable decision.

DraftKings DFS Forwards

Jimmy Butler – SG/SF, CHI ($7,600)

After a few games it is obvious that Butler won’t be able to recreate his production from the last few seasons. Dwayne Wade and Rajon Rondo are deserving of getting the ball and Butler’s production will suffer as a result. That being said, he is still the most lethal scoring option on his team and has still put up All-Star like numbers to start the season.  The Nets are a bad team and bad teams are good for getting your stats up. Expect Butler to get the biggest counting numbers out of the three-headed backcourt monster of the Bulls.

DeMar Derozan – SG/SF, TOR ($7.300)

Derozan has started off scorching hot. There is always a chance this is the game where he comes back down to Earth a bit but it just simply isn’t worth risking missing out on another huge performance. Derozan has averaged 36 points a game so far this season. The most frightening part of Derozan’s performance is that his scoring has looked like it came within the regular Raptors offense. He is not having an out of body experience or just going off but playing with the framework of what Toronto wants to be doing. He is going to have a special season and there’s no reason to think the Nuggets will have anything to say about it tonight.

Doug McDermott – SG/SF, CHI ($3,500)

McDermott is the cheap option that has a great chance of paying off a lot more than expected. He is the Bulls primary scorer for the second unit. Dougie McBuckets is limited by his athleticism and playing time so there’s always a chance that he completely busts. With so few options tonight, he is a risk worth taking because his price opens the door to take more superstars and if he does anything that he’s capable of doing, then you’ll definitely end up in the money.

DraftKings DFS Centers

Nikola Jokic – PF/C, DEN ($7,000)

Nikola Jokic will be contending for All-NBA by the end of the season. Yes, Karl-Anthony Towns, Joel Embiid and Kristaps Porzingis are the most exciting big men to come around in a long time but Jokic is right up there with any of them. His price tag reflects the fact that everyone is starting to get to know this guy and nothing is coming as a surprise anymore. The Nuggets are still a team that is hard to figure out, but if Mudiay can begin taking the next step then only bigger and better things will be coming from Jokic. In the meantime, Jokic is as good if not a better option tonight as guys like Dwight Howard, DeAndre Jordan, and Brook Lopez.

Taj Gibson – PF/C, CHI ($5,100)

The Bulls frontcourt is packed with Gibson, Robin Lopez, Nikola Mirotic, and Cristiano Felicio. The most consistent and trustworthy option to produce will always be Gibson. Going against a Nets frontcourt of made up players from NBA 2k, Gibson will have one of his easier chances to put up numbers. Brook Lopez has never been known for his lockdown defense and should be starting after taking the Nets last game off for rest.
