DFS Studs: Our Best DFS Lineup Picks for Fantasy Football

By TonyTheTiger (Own work) [CC-BY-SA-3.0 (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0)], via Wikimedia Commons

Real Talk Raph discusses DFS studs and his best DFS lineup picks from Week 11, as he helps you find fantasy football sleepers and win your DFS weekly NFL leagues.

Each week here at RotoBaller, we provide the subscribers of our DFS Lineup Picks of the Week Newsletter with some of the highest quality advice for salary cap fantasy football for DFS weekly league sites.  We also have lots of great DFS analysis weekly, so be sure to check back.

Why We Love Daily League Fantasy Football

It's time for Week 12 already and some of us luckier RotoBallers are primed and ready for the fantasy football playoffs. Unfortunately, along with the winners are also some less fortunate season long losers. Are you one of those people whose fantasy football team is just about out of it for the 2014 NFL season? Perhaps you were not that happy with the team you originally drafted this year in fantasy football? Or maybe you are a frustrated Ahmad Bradshaw, Ben Tate, Nick Foles, Giovani Bernard or Frank Gore owner (just to mention a few on the vast list of disappointments). Is your fantasy team already eliminated or on its way to being officially out of contention? If any of those words resonate deep inside of you, and you don't feel like waiting another 9-10 full months  to play again, then we have the perfect new tasty treat to feed your fantasy football appetite.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

The weekly formats of DFS fantasy football is just what the doctor ordered. Draft a new team each week, and battle it out against your friends or as many opponents as you please. It's my favorite way to supplement my fantasy football teams, and plug-and-play guys that I wish I owned in my leagues on a weekly basis. After all there's nothing like owning Peyton Manning or Andrew Luck for one week, when you missed out on them in all of your season-long fantasy football leagues.

Looking for An Edge?

If you play salary cap leagues on any of the leading DFS sites, then our expert picks can give you the edge you need to win. Each week we analyze the player matchups, and the associated pricing across the sites to identify the sleepers and value picks to put together a winning lineup. With each newsletter, you will receive our well-researched weekly picks for each position, with both a “Strong Play” and a “Value Play”, and we will also include two or three budget buster tournament plays for each position. All in all, you will be receiving a minimum of 12 of our expertly hand-picked recommendations for your gaming pleasure!

We’ve reprinted some of RotoBaller’s lineup picks from last week’s subscribers-only exclusive newsletter to give you an idea of the DFS analysis that we put forward each and every week. As you can see below, our experts had some sweet recommendations for Week 10, so hopefully you got in on the action! And if not, no worries, there’s still plenty of time for Week 11 and beyond.

A Recap of Some DFS Lineup Picks from Week 11

WR (Value) - Roddy White ($6,800) - The forgotten about man in Atlanta is still a very reliable and serviceable WR2-WR3 option in both DFS and season-long fantasy football leagues. For Week 11, he has the legitimate potential to perform like a WR1 if the stars align.

Mathew Ice and company take their air show on the road for a southeast showdown versus the Carolina Panthers. As we've already touched on, the Panthers have the NFL's worst pass coverage unit, and allow a stupendous 25.52 fantasy points per game on average to opposing wide receivers.

With this kind of strong data in our favor, and the price tag of Roddy White hovering around WR2-WR3 status, we like the potential return on investment this matchup can possibly bring in Week 11. Invest with confidence if Roddy White fits your jigsaw puzzle. (Side note: we don't make a habit out of recommending the same players every week, so we had to bypass the following undervalued studs that have almost the same price as Roddy White in Week 11: Brandin Cooks, Kelvin BenjaminVincent Jackson; they all make equally good DFS options this week).

Result: 8 receptions, 75 receiving yards, 1 TD - BULLSEYE

WR (Value) - Jordan Matthews ($5,500) - Rumors of Mark Sanchez's demise were greatly exaggerated. It seems like Chip Kelly knew exactly what he was doing when he signed the quarterback he unsuccessfully tried to recruit to Oregon to a reserve role with the Eagles. It's a good thing for him and Jordan Matthews that he did so because there is strong and undeniable chemistry between the former backup QB and the #2 wide receiver on the Philadelphia Eagles.

We saw flashes of this in the preseason, but it's crystal clear after Week 10 that the Eagles potent offense will likely not skip a beat while Nick Foles lets his broken clavicle heal. In Week 11 they take their air show on the road to face the Packers defense that's allowed an average of 23.31 fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers. That's good for 13th worst in the league even though they grade out as a top 5 pass coverage unit.

With Vegas having it's highest totals of the season projected for this contest (58 points), we want as much action as we can get in this one. Since Jordan Matthews' price didn't adjust whatsoever since he dropped 29.3 points on the Panthers last week, we guarantee Mark Sanchez's favorite target will be heavily involved in our lineups across the board in Week 11. We suggest you do the same for optimal results.

Result: 5 receptions, 107 receiving yards, 1 TD - BULLSEYE

WR (Budget Buster) - Andrew Hawkins ($5,300) - It's hard to find true undervalued wide receivers these days, so when we stumble upon a true WR2-WR3 priced lower than a WR4, it raises our eyebrows and opens our eyes.

In Week 11, Baby Hawk faces the league's second worst defense versus fantasy wide receivers, the Houston Texans. While the Texans allow a robust 27.70 points per game on average, Hawkins will still be benefiting from Josh Gordon's absence, and the team's general lack of high-upside wide receiving options. Get this extreme budget buster into your mix if you're trying to squeeze Matt Forte or Demaryius Thomas into your lineups and need to save a few shekels elsewhere.

Result: 6 receptions, 97 receiving yards, 1TD - BULLSEYE

RB (Strong) - Mark Ingram ($8,000) -  We've been waiting for Mark Ingram to finally be healthy enough to get his true shot at being a load-carrying running back in the NFL. Finally in 2014, the former Alabama great has put together an impressive season despite missing more than a month with a broken hand.

In Week 11 we like Ingram as our RB1 against the Cincinnati Bengals defense that has allowed an alarming 23.87 fantasy points per game average to fantasy running backs. You can couple that with the fact that they grade out as the third worst run defense unit in the NFL based on Pro Football Focus.

With Ingram running like a man on a mission, and averaging 4.8 yards per carry, he's quite undervalued. We're projecting him for about 18-21 points, on approximately 110 yard rushing with a touchdown, and 3 receptions for about 20 yards. If you're not budgeting for Matt Forte or Jamaal Charles in Week 11, we strongly suggest you plug Mark Ingram into your RB1 slot and shoot for some DFS glory.

Result: 67 rushing yards, 7 reception, 30 receiving yards - HIT

RB (Value) - Jeremy Hill ($6,500) - We grappled with who to recommend in this slot because Alfred Blue ($6,400) is almost surely starting in place of the injured Arian Foster, but ultimately we went with the more sure-shot option against the weaker opponent.

Because Gio Bernard is still sidelined in Week 11, Jeremy Hill will once again get the start, and the bulk of the carries, versus the Saints weak defense. New Orleans has allowed an average of 19.82 fantasy points per week to opposing running backs and grades out as a below average run defense unit. With nobody  else standing in his way for carries or touches, we love Jeremy Hill as an RB2 with RB1 upside in Week 11 of DFS action. Get this undervalued stud into your DFS lineups this week, and prepare to reap the glorious benefits if things go as planned.

Result: 152 rushing yards, 1 reception, 13 receiving yards - HIT
