There wasn't a slate yesterday, but we have games throughout the day to keep us business during Christmas. There are plenty of great options, but it's somewhat tough to find safe, cheap players at this point. At least we can have some fun during the holidays. Happy holidays!

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 12/25/16. DraftKings DFS Guards

Russell Westbrook – PG, vs MIN ($12,500) 

Westbrook struggled for a couple games recently, but he has been on fire over his last four starts. Over that span, he’s averaging 76.1 fantasy points per game. Westbrook is a triple double potential on a nightly basis, and he gets a good matchup against the Wolves tonight. Minnesota has been the worst team in the NBA against the point guard this season, and it’s tough to avoid Westbrook on only a five game slate.

Rick Rubio – PG, at OKC ($5,900)

Rubio has struggled quite a bit this season, but he has been on fire over the last 10 days. He’s averaging 9.8 points, 5.4 rebounds, 9.0 assists, and 2.4 steals per game over that span. He’s not scoring a ton, but he still handles the ball quite a bit. He gets a good matchup against the Thunder, who have struggled against the point guard this season. Rubio still comes with a low price tag, and he can be used in all leagues today.

DraftKings DFS Forwards

Karl-Anthony Towns – PG/C, at OKC ($8,300) 

Towns is generally best suited for tournaments, but it’s difficult to argue with his recent success. He has scored at least 40 fantasy points in each of his last six games, including a huge 68.25 fantasy point performance. He’s averaging over 50 fantasy points per game over the last 10 days, and the Wolves will need him to score today if they want to keep up with Westbrook. Towns is locked into big minutes for the Wolves, and he can be used in all leagues on this slate.

Marreese Speights – PF/C, at LAL ($4,000)

Speights has seen somewhat of an increased role for the Clippers with the injury to Blake Griffin. He’s far from a safe option, but he’s the type of player that can win you a tournament on a small slate. He has an extremely high usage rating, and he recently scored 17 points with 12 rebounds and four assists in only 25 minutes against the Pelicans. He isn’t safe enough to be used in cash games, but he has more than enough upside to be used in tournaments today.

DraftKings DFS Centers

Pau Gasol – C, vs CHI ($6,000)

The Spurs have announced that Gasol will start today, which makes him a great option on a short slate. He’s averaging 14.6 points, 11.0 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 1.4 blocks in only 28.0 minutes per game over the last 10 days. He gets a solid matchup against his former team, and Gasol is coming off a game of rest for the Spurs. He’s cheap enough to be used in all leagues.
