News and Player Outlook

10/19:Marco Estrada certainly put together a very good season, but unfortunately for Jays fans it all came to an end on Wednesday night. In Game 5 of the ALCS, Estrada threw six innings and allowed two earned runs (three total) on five hits, including two home runs. Estrada struck out seven in the losing effort. He may have taken the loss tonight, but that shouldn’t put a damper on the excellent season he had in 2016. Estrada finishes 2016 with a 3.48 ERA, 1.12 WHIP, and 8.44 K/9. Estrada will be back in Toronto next season in a contract year, and will look to build on a fantastic 2016 en route to a nice payday next winter.--Andrew Bua - RotoBaller
