FanDuel DFS - MLB Lineup Picks, Sleepers & Advice for 4/7/15

There is a somewhat healthy slate of baseball on day two of the 2015 regular season with 8 games scheduled for Tuesday April 7th, 2015.

Unfortunately there aren't any daytime games slotted, but that gives DFS participants more time to analyze and select a team, especially if you always like being able to pick players from every game.

Editor's Note: RotoBaller's Premium DFS Lineup Picks & Tools help you get an edge for your FanDuel lineups with exclusive access to DFS tools and expert lineup picks. Also our DFS batters vs. pitchers tool helps you analyze today's matchups and make optimal lineup decisions.

Offenses to Target for FanDuel DFS

Vegas has only the Rockies vs. Brewers game with an over/under run total set at 8.  Bookmakers aren't expecting any offensive explosions, but that's to be expected with a lot of SP2s taking the mound. Since that Rockies vs. Brewers game could offer a lot of offensive value, especially relative to the other games, let's start there.

Milwaukee Brewers

The Rockies got off to a hot start yesterday, blanking the Brewers 10-0 with 17 hits. While I don't expect that sort of offensive explosion again from either team, I do like the chances of guys from the top of the Brewers' order doing some damage against Rockies starter Jordan Lyles. Lyles, just 24 years old, posted a 4.33 ERA last season to go along with an ugly 3.27 walks issued per nine innings. Basically, Lyles has lingering control issues and is still figuring out how to work the strike zone. He doesn't strike out a ton of batters and I like Jonathan Lucroy and Carloz Gomez to bounce back from their combined 0-8 debut.

Oakland Athletics

Another team with a favorable matchup I see is the top of the Oakland Athletics lineup against Texas Rangers starter Colby Lewis. Lewis posted a 5.18 ERA in 2014 and doesn't miss a ton of bats, either. A lot of this A's lineup has been re-tooled, but they were third in the majors last season in runs scored at home, with 4.64. I'm targeting Billy Butler or Ben Zobrist, who is 3-for-6 lifetime against Lewis with three doubles. Check out the career numbers vs. Colby Lewis below, which is taken from our DFS batters vs. pitchers tool:

Seattle Mariners

If I had to throw one other team to take a look at and perhaps grab a player or two from their lineup, it's the Mariners, as several analysts have noted they tend to hit left-handed pitching very well. They just so happen to be facing Angels lefty C.J. Wilson in Seattle tonight. Nelson Cruz connects on most of his long balls against right-handed pitching, but against lefties, he strikes out much less and hits for a much higher average. He, and catcher Mike Zunino (who is quite cheap on FanDuel), are definitely worth your consideration. Robinson Cano certainly is as well, if you can find a way to afford him.

DFS Starting Pitchers To Target for FanDuel

On the bump, there are a few pitchers I'd consider rolling with today:

Mat Latos (SP, MIA) - $8,600

While once Reds, now Marlins, pitcher Mat Latos struggled with his velocity and saw his strikeout numbers dip last season, it certainly could have been due to the fact he was pitching through pain. At home today in a favorable pitchers park against a weak Braves lineup, I like his chances to look more like his 2013 self.

Zack Greinke (SP, LAD) - $10,000

This one may seem like a no-brainer, but if you're willing to spend the dough, Zack Greinke could be an excellent play. Greinke should be able to rack up a handful of strikeouts against this Padres lineup, and shouldn't have trouble keeping the ball in the yard at Petco.

Lance Lynn (SP, STL) - $8,600

Speaking of strikeout opportunities, Cardinals starter Lance Lynn - who reportedly added a pitch to his repertoire in the offseason - faces the Cubs in Wrigley today. The only reason I don't love this play is because Lynn's road splits have never been too favorable.

DFS Infielders To Target for FanDuel

Brandon Belt (1B, SF) - $3,500

The majority of his power comes against right-handed starting pitchers. Today he faces Ruby De La Rosa in home run friendly Chase Field, so I like his DFS matchup.

Matt Adams (1B, STL) - $3,400

The Cardinals first baseman mashes righties, and he'll be facing Jake Arrieta in Wrigley Field tonight. If the wind is blowing out in Wrigley, jump on Adams. Once lineups are released, you can check our daily lineups page for more weather info.

Ben Zobrist (2B, OAK) - $3,100

I mentioned earlier that I like Ben Zobrist in this matchup, and the protection he gets at the top of this A's order. You can scroll up to check out his career splits vs. Colby Lewis.

Scooter Gennett (2B, MIL) - $3,000

I see this one as more of a value play, as he's relatively cheap on FanDuel and may see some added RBI opportunities if the middle of the order (Aramis Ramirez, Adam Lind, Khris Davis) does their job against Lyles.

Aaron Hill (2B, ARI) - $2,500

Another DFS value play (with potentially nice upside) is Dbacks second baseman Aaron Hill, who sports a .467 career average with two home runs in 30 at-bats against Ryan Vogelsong.

Evan Longoria (3B, TB) - $3,800

Evan Longoria has been smashing left-handed pitching for a long time. If you can find a way to fit him without crippling your team at other positions, do it. He went 5-for-12 against Orioles starter Wei-Yen Chen in 2014.

Jimmy Rollins (SS, LAD) - $3,600

While I don't expect him to go deep on back-to-back days, Jimmy Rollins can be had at a reasonable price on FanDuel. Ride him in DFS while he's hot and has fresh legs.

Jhonny Peralta (SS, STL) - $2,800

I like the buy-low DFS price on Jhonny Peralta, who does much more of his damage against right-handers. He faces Arrieta at Wrigley today, and has a cheap price tag on FanDuel.

DFS Outfielders To Target for FanDuel

Christian Yelich (OF, MIA) - $3,700

I've never been shy about my adoration for Marlins outfielder Christian Yelich. He hits at the top of a solid lineup, is a threat to steal bases, and owns a batting average over .400 in 19 at-bats against Braves starter Alex Wood.

Jason Heyward (OF, STL) - $3,700

I'm expecting big things out of  new Cardinals right fielder Jason Heyward in 2015. He started off with a bang on Sunday night -- and I expect him to hit for good average, and be a high run-scoring and base-stealing threat, all season long.

Adam Jones (OF, BAL) - $4,300

He faces a Rays pitcher in Nathan Karns with little major league experience that's also prone to giving up home runs. Sounds like a good idea for DFS lineups.

Joc Pederson (OF, LAD) - $3,200

A sneaky good FanDuel add when he can be bought for such a low price. Normally I like to have guys who sit closer to the top of the lineup, but Pederson should have a good chance to drive in runs from the seventh spot in the order.

Good luck with your FanDuel and DFS lineups RotoBallers!
