Sunday Studs Recap: Top Ranked Fantasy Performers from Week 12

Fantasy Stud Performers from Week 12

By Sgt. Kyle J. Richardson (DVIDS) [Public domain], via Wikimedia CommonsBelow are the top 11 fantasy scorers for each position from Sunday's action. Why 11? Because it's my favorite number, and seems more fun than 10. All of the top scorers at each position are sorted by fantasy points for PPR leagues, but you can also sort all of today's fantasy player stats by any stat column including standard and 0.5 PPR scoring.

This article will be updated after Monday's games, assuming there will be some fantasy performances that crack the top 11 at any given position. Be sure to check out our Live Fantasy Scoring Game Center for all of the Week 12 stats from Sunday's games, and get your live in-game scoring updates there as well.

Top 11 Fantasy Quarterbacks

Tom Terrific continued his terrific "resurgence" with a romping of the elite Lions defense, racking up 349 passing yards and 2 TDs. He sliced them up through the air with Julian Edelman, Brandon LaFell, Shane Vereen, Rob Gronkowki and Timothy Wright. Can you say potential MVP candidate? Teddy Bridgewater had himself a nice day at the office, after having a rather inconsistent season for fantasy football owners to date. The Vikings came up a bit short, but Teddy gave the Packers a run for their money with 210 passing yards, 32 rushing yards and 2 TDs. Speaking of rushing yards, Russell Wilson continues to keep himself in the QB1 picture with his legs. After running for another 73 yards again today, he has now rushed for at least 70 yards in each of the last three games. As fantasy owners, we love this as it keeps his weekly floor higher than many other QBs, and makes him more matchup proof. Oh, and Peyton Manning threw for another four touchdowns, hitting Demaryius Thomas three times and Wes Welker once.

Top 11 Fantasy Running Backs

C.J. Anderson was the story of the day, moving the chains all day for the Broncos. Rushing 27 times for 167 yards and 1 TD, he also added in 4 receptions for 28 yards, good for 29.5 fantasy points in PPR leagues. He should remain an RB1 down the stretch for fantasy owners, and may end up being the most important waiver wire pickup of the year if he can stay healthy. Move over Giovani Bernard, Jeremy Hill is here to stay. The explosive rookie is solidifying his place in the NFL and on fantasy football rosters everywhere. With a healthy 19 touches again this week, he outscored and out-touched guys like Andre Ellington, Marshawn Lynch, Trent Richardson, Denard Robinson and Lamar Miller. In other news, Ryan Mathews is definitely back and was well worth the wait for fantasy owners. His 8.8 yards per carry were more than any RB this week, except for Latavius Murray and his crazy day.

Top 11 Fantasy Wide Receivers

Wow, I really hope you watched Odell Beckham Jr. play versus the Cowboys. I've been saying that his size, speed, explosiveness and talent remind me of Antonio Brown. The only difference is he's still a rookie, and is already doing some amazing things on the field for the Giants and fantasy football owners on a week to week basis. If he can stay healthy, he should be a legit WR1 for fantasy owners down the stretch. Welcome back Josh Gordon, you were missed. His 16 targets were tied for the most in the NFL this week, along with A.J. Green, and he outplayed and out-touched guys like Julio Jones, Roddy White, Keenan Allen, Mike Evans, Golden Tate and Jordy Nelson. Volume like that, along with his crazy talent, are going to pay huge dividends for owners that were able to keep him stashed all year. He's back and he's just as good as ever.

Top 11 Fantasy Tight Ends

This really wasn't the week for NFL tight ends. With many mediocre performances, Tim Wright appeared back on the fantasy radar after a few lousy weeks to rack up 5 catches and 2 TDs. Delanie Walker returned to the field, and put up a big game with 9 targets, 5 catches and 155 receiving yards. There really wasn't anything too exciting aside from that, as Martellus Bennett had a mediocre game, Coby Fleener and Antonio Gates disappointed, Jacob Tamme flopped and Vernon Davis remained fantasy irrelevant. At this point of the season, if you have a solid TE that produces consistently week to week you carry a big advantage in your matchups.
