Worth the FanDuel Investment

Isaiah Thomas (BOS, G) - $6,800

There is a small slate of games on Tuesday as the season winds down, so there really isn’t any need for me to tell you who the best players are at each position. Isaiah Thomas looks to be a great pick for the second point guard slot, as he has a relatively good floor for his performances as well as an incredible ceiling. Thomas has been an incredible find for the Boston Celtics this season. He has provided the scoring and ball-handling that the team has desperately needed. Marcus Smart is simply not ready to be an offensive point guard yet, and Avery Bradley plus Evan Turner do not make for a reliable backcourt at all. Thomas has been heavily relied upon to be the main option in the fourth quarter for the Celtics, and his propensity for huge performances on random nights make him an extremely good pick on FanDuel, as he could very easily provide way more value than he is listed at. In his last eight games, Thomas has averaged 19.1 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 5.9 assists. He should continue his great play on Tuesday when Boston looks to lock up a playoff seed.

Honorable Mentions: Demar Derozan (TOR, G), George Hill (IND, G)

C.J. Miles (IND, F) - $5,100

The small forward position is absolutely barren. The selections are extremely slim with Paul George topping the list of small forwards. However, his teammate C.J. Miles looks to be the better play on Tuesday, as he has been incredibly hot from the field. Along with George Hill, Miles has been doing everything he can to keep the Pacers in the playoff race, and his stat totals have definitely come to reflect his efforts. In his last eight games, Miles has averaged 17.0 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 1.3 assists. In his last game against Oklahoma City, Miles completely went off, scoring 30 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists, and 1 steal. The Pacers are desperately looking to piece together any wins they can at this point, and will look to Miles to continue his hot shooting to get them the W. In fact, Miles has taken double-digit field goal attempts every game for the Pacers in April, showing the team’s dire need for him to perform well again on Tuesday.

Honorable Mention: Markieff Morris (PHO, F)

Roy Hibbert (IND, C) -$5,300

The best center playing on Sunday is definitely DeAndre Jordan. There is no doubting that. However, since there are so few games, it may be wise to look to play elite options at other positions simply to be unique. Hibbert has a rather low investment price and has the ability to play to his value. In fact, Hibbert has quietly notched 3 double-doubles in a row. He has averaged 12.7 points, 10.7 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.0 blocks. We have to hope that Hibbert may find it in him to bring his A game against the Washington Wizards on Tuesday, when the Pacers are going to need every ounce of his production. He just needs to stay on the floor, both for the Pacers team and for your fantasy team. Despite his fluctuating minute totals as well as his inconsistent play, Hibbert may very well have to be rostered on Tuesday due to the slim picking at all the positions.

Honorable Mention: Marcin Gortat (Wsh, C)

DFS Sleeper Picks

Louis Williams (TOR, G) - $5,200

Louis Williams is the clear sleeper pick of the day, and I have trouble rationalizing any reason for not starting him on Tuesday. His numbers have been absolutely great as of late. In his last seven games, Williams has averaged 19.9 points, 2.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.3 steals, and only 1.4 turnovers. Sweet Lou is providing a great case for a possible Sixth Man of the Year award, and the Toronto Raptors look to be pushing his candidacy by letting him take over games. The most recent example of this coming in an absolute annihilation of the Miami Heat’s playoffs hopes with a 29-point performance on Saturday. Kyle Lowry is still rounding back into form, and Williams should look to continue to score whenever he is needed for the team. Strongly consider Williams for your FanDuel lineup on a shallow Tuesday.

Honorable Mentions: Tyler Zeller (BOS, C), Gerald Green (PHO, F)
