Kevin Kouzmanoff (3B, TEX) - Waiver Wire Analysis

Bret Thurman - RotoBaller

BALLER MOVE: Add in Deeper Leagues, AL-Only Leagues

ANALYSIS: Kevin Kouzmanoff got his chance at third base when starter Adrian Beltre went on the DL, and he has made the most of the opportunity: 2 HR, 10 RBIs, 8 Runs and a .361 BA in only 13 games. This makes him an interesting waiver wire name to consider. MLB even named him the AL's Player of the Week last week. But the fact is, Kouz will most likely not be an everyday player soon. He's already had to leave one game early due to tightness in his lower back. And once Beltre comes back, although there is some talk that the team may give him a try at second base, Kouz will most likely head to the bench as a utility infielder and part-time DH. But if you're looking for a short term option off the waiver wire, or he's in the lineup coming off a couple of days rest, consider grabbing him off the waiver wire and riding the hot wave.
