FanDuel CFB DFS Picks: Daily Fantasy College Football Advice for 11/21

Daily Fantasy College Football: FanDuel Picks for 11/21

FanDuel decided to be stingy this week as they only have 14 games for the early slate contest that starts at noon eastern time. If you're looking for stacking opportunities or to target guys in games with high projected point totals, take a closer look at USC at Oregon (72), West Virginia at Kansas (59) and Arizona at Arizona State (68.5).

Let's get to it, shall we?

FanDuel CFB DFS Quarterback Picks

Josh Rosen (QB, UCLA) - $8,000

He isn't completely dud proof (as his 10 FanDuel point night showed us three weeks ago against Colorado) but Rosen has a really high ceiling thanks to the sheer number of times the Bruins throw the ball a game. Last week against Washington State he completed 33 of 57 attempts, putting up over 28 points in the process despite now throwing a single touchdown pass. Utah is a pretty solid defense, but their greater strength is in stopping the run. The Vegas implied point total projects this one to be tight (spread of 1.5) and fairly high scoring (total of 56), so I'm happy to take my chances on Rosen in a GPP format, especially at that price.

Also consider: Vernon Adams (QB, Oregon) - $7,700

Sleeper: If Greg Ward Jr. is out against UConn, take a look at Kyle Postma (QB, Houston) $6,500

FanDuel CFB DFS Running Back Picks

Arkeel Newsome (RB, UConn) - $7,300

Newsome has been playing pretty well as of late and his floor is much higher than it's ever been due to the fact he's received over 20 carries in each of the past two weeks. He had a little trouble getting it going against Tulane his last time out but that's kept his price reasonable and I think with the pace Houston moves with (and how often they could score against a pretty weak Huskies run defense), the Uconn offense will have plenty of opportunities to get a drive going. Newsome will hear his number called often and if he's able to find the endzone once or twice, he'll easily exceed his price implied value.

LeShun Daniels Jr. (RB, Iowa) - $7,300

I think Daniels will be a popular pick this weekend after he erupted for 37.5 points his last time out in what was his first start since week two. It's a bit of a calculated risk going with Daniels as Kirk Firentz now has all three running backs healthy and in his aresenal, but Daniels looked the part and I think he'll get the bulk of the carries for the second straight week. What seals the deal for me is Iowa's commitment to the run game and the fact that Purdue is atrocious at stopping the run.

Also consider: Travon McMillian (RB, VTech) - $7,800

FanDuel CFB DFS Wide Receiver Picks

Michael Thomas (WR, OSU) - $6,000

There's a reason why you're seeing Thomas' name all over NFL draft projections. He's a freak athlete with great ball skills and he's a big play threat that I like targeting with J.T. Barrett running the show in Columbus. Those two seem to have a strong connection as Barrett looks his way quite a bit in the red zone and down field.  At this price, I think he has a very strong chance to exceed value and I'll certainly have a few shares.

Thomas Duarte (WR, UCLA) - $6,200

An abomination of a performance - by his standards - last week due to illness has kept Duarte's price low, but make no mistake, he's capable of big games and Rosen targets him quite often. I like Duarte's chances to bounce back this week somewhere in the range of 5+ catches, 100 yards and a score.

JuJu Smith (WR, USC) - $7,500

Smith is the type of receiver that is a threat for a big play any time he's on the field. Like Duarte, a subpar performance last week has brought his price tag south of 8K. In a game that's expected to be a shootout, you're going to want to have some exposure to the dynamic sophomore from Long Beach.

Also consider: Jordan Payton (WR, UCLA) - $6,400

FanDuel CFB DFS Tight End Picks

Harrison Handley (TE, Utah) - $2,900

I considered going back to the well with Jordan Leggett and Jake Butt. Then I did a little digging into their matchups and came to the conclusion that Butt is a little overpriced for what I expect his output to be and Leggett is facing Wake Forest - which means starters might be pulled before halftime. In comparison to the rest of the tight ends on the board, Handley is a big play receiver. He's got endzone potential week in and week out and I particularly like him this week for his low cost and even more so due to the fact that Utah will be without stud running back Devontae Booker, which leads me to believe they'll have a more aerial attack this week than usual.

Also consider: George Kittle (TE, Iowa) - $2,700
