OwnersBox Guard Picks

Malik Beasley, MIN - SG ($21,600) - 4 games

With Patrick Beverley sidelined with a groin injury, Beasley went off against the Heat, scoring 29 points and making five threes. He also added three rebounds, one steal, and one block.

I'm not sure how long Beverley will be out, but I think the upside for Beasley without Beverley is high enough that fantasy managers should take the risk here. When Beasley plays 30-plus minutes, he averages 19.3 points per game. (Yes, it's a three-game sample, so take it with a grain of salt.)

Tyler Herro, MIA - SG ($23,400) - 3 games

Some good games lately from Herro, including pouring in 31 points and eight boards against the Pistons, which gave him 39 OB points. Herro is someone who is also ready to explode as a scorer, as he's scored 20-plus points in five of his last seven games and has grabbed at east five boards in five of seven as well.

Maybe Herro's ceiling isn't as high as some other players, but he's a high floor play.

OwnersBox Forward Picks

Aaron Gordon, DEN - PF ($18,000) - 3 games

Three games in a row with double-digit points for Gordon and five games in a row playing 30-plus minutes. He had 16 points and 10 rebounds against Phoenix despite being ejected in the third quarter, he's chipping in assists as well, and he's just overall putting up some really strong numbers.

And with Michael Porter Jr. sidelined indefinitely, there's no reason to think Gordon doesn't maintain this large role in the Nuggets offense going forward. Get him in some lineups.

Cedi Osman, CLE - SF ($16,500) - 3 games

After missing a couple of games with a back injury, Osman returned and scored 23 points with four boards, two assists, and a steal.

With no Collin Sexton, some of the scoring load is falling on Osman, who has surpassed 20 points in two of the last three games he's played in.

OwnersBox Center Picks

Clint Capela, ATL - C ($21,600) - 3 games

Here's our "he can explode and make your lineup really zip" play: Clint Capela.

Seven double-doubles in the last game eight games for Capela, with the one non-DD being a game where he only had nine points.

Capela is coming off a monster showing against the Spurs with 11 points, 13 rebounds, five steals, and three blocks. Capela just occasionally stumbles in multiple steal games, which is a nice added value.

The baseline here is probably a 10 and 12 every night. The upside is a 20 and 15 with multiple steals and blocks. High floor, high ceiling kind of play. Go for it.
