ANALYSIS: New York Giants running back Wayne Gallman had 79 total yards against the Eagles on Sunday and is quickly becoming a bigger part of the Giants offense. A week after posting 19 touches against the Cowboys (tallying 99 total yards), Gallman had 14 touches against Philadelphia and averaged 5.6 yards per touch. This is the first time that Gallman has had double-double touches since Weeks 4-6 and he has 13 catches over the last two games.

Gallman had the second-most carries for the Giants on Sunday, Orleans Darkwa had nine carries for seven yards, but Darkwa scored a rushing touchdown against the Eagles. The biggest downside to Gallman is that he only has one touchdown this season (a reception against the Buccaneers), but he is getting more involved in the offense as the season progresses. He has had more targets than the receiving back Shane Vereen in each of the last two weeks and Eli Manning seems to trust the rookies Gallman and Evan Engram in the short game.

A matchup against the Cardinals, who rank 8th against running backs, is not ideal for Gallman, even if his workload is increasing. Gallman and Darkwa seem to be splitting the work for the Giants, but Gallman's extra work in the passing game makes him the more appealing option. There should be better options available on your team, but Gallman does have value in deeper leagues for bench depth.
