With the All-Star break approaching, predicting the two-start pitchers for Week 16 can be tricky. There’s one game on Thursday (STL/CHC) and everybody else resumes play on Friday. For those in weekly head-to-head contests, you have an extra three days (four, if you count the lone Thursday matchup) added to your typical week-long matchup. Also, teams tend to reset their rotation back to the top, unless their ace threw in the All-Star Game.

Remember, we’re trying to predict two-start pitchers for Thursday (July 19th) through Sunday (July 29th). Some of the probable opponents will change during that time. Also, whether or not a pitcher participated in the All-Star festivities could factor into the manager’s decision on a rotation, too.

Last week, Danny Duffy was the highlight of our Week 15 article. He posted nine strikeouts and zero earned runs in six innings against the Twins. Zack Wheeler (8 K in 4.2 IP) and Jose Urena (5.2 IP, 2 ER, and 4 K) were honorable mentions.
