ANALYSIS: Detroit Lions running back Theo Riddick scored two touchdowns on Sunday and his PPR value makes him a fantasy asset. Riddick caught six passes for 64 yards, adding 10 carries for 29 yards and two rushing touchdowns against the Buccaneers. Former starting running back Ameer Abdullah was out of the lineup for the second consecutive game for Detroit, allowing Riddick to top five catches for the second consecutive game.

Tion Green had five carries for 15 yards against the Buccaneers on Sunday, potentially showing that Detroit is slowly moving away from Green to give Riddick an extended chance. Green did have 11 carries for 51 yards and a touchdown in Week 13 and looks like the backup running back behind Riddick for the Lions. Abdullah was a healthy scratch on Sunday, so he might not be an issue going forward, making Riddick the back to own in Motor City.

A matchup against the Bears, who allow the 22nd most points to running backs, is next on the schedule for Riddick, but he is still in a position to excel if Abdullah sits again. Riddick would still see a good workload this week if Abdullah sits, especially with his ability to make a dent in the passing game. A lot of Riddick's value comes from Abdullah's health, so keep an eye on his status, but Riddick could be a good RB2 this week if Abdullah sits.
