Hill landed a low blow, prompting the referee to try and stop the fight, but Pereira held his hand up, stopping Herb Dean from intervening. He then landed his signature left hook that dropped Hill. Pereira followed up with ground-and-pound, finishing Hill in the first round. In 3:14 of action, Pereira landed 24 significant strikes. 1 week agoJamahal Hill suffered a first-round knockout loss to Alex Pereira in the main event of UFC 300 to drop to 12-2 as a pro. Hill kicked Pereira low, prompting referee Herb Dean to step in and try to pause the fight, but Pereira declined. A signature left hook from Pereira knocked out Hill. 1 week agoIn the first title bout between Chinese-born fighters in UFC history, Yan Xiaonan was defeated by Zhang Weili via unanimous decision. Having secured eight of her previous 17 wins by knockout, Xiaonan was aggressive in the stand-up department and even knocked Weili down. At the end of the first round, it appeared that victory was Zhang's when she had Xiaonan unconscious from a rear-naked chokehold, but Yan was rescued by the bell. In 25 minutes of action, Xiaonan landed three takedowns and 43 significant strikes. With the loss, Xiaonan's UFC record is 8-3.

After surviving an early guillotine attempt, Tsarukyan edged out a split-decision win by utilizing his superior wrestling and control time. 1 week agoIn a closely contested lightweight showdown on Saturday, Charles Oliveira was on the wrong side of a split-decision announcement after his fight with Arman Tsarukyan. Oliveira nearly won the fight in the opening stages as he put Tsarukyan in a guillotine choke, but Tsarukyan was able to escape, though. Then, at the end of the third round, Oliveira had Tsarukyan in another choke attempt, but the bell rang as Tsarukyan had a good defense to not tap. 2 weeks agoCody Brundage suffered a second-round submission loss to Bo Nickal to open the UFC 300 card on Saturday. Brundage was controlled for nearly the entire first round, but in the second round, he came out swinging trying to get a KO. However, Brundage was taken down again, and then gave up his back and was submitted by a rear-naked choke. With the loss, Brundage fell to 4-5 in the UFC and had his two-fight winning streak snapped.Source: UFC

Nickal entered the fight as the biggest favorite on the card and in the first round, Nickal had 4:25 of control time. In the second round, Brundage came out swinging but Nickal got him down to the mat again and sunk in a choke to remain undefeated as he improved to 6-0.Source: UFC
2 weeks agoJustin Gaethje suffered a fifth-round knockout loss to Max Holloway at UFC 300. Gaethje was defending his BMF title, and early on, he was struggling with Holloway's speed. 'The Highlight' was getting picked apart for three rounds, but in the fourth round, did appear to drop Holloway as he had him rocked. However, Gaethje couldn't capitalize and in the dying seconds of the fifth round, Holloway pointed to the middle of the Octagon and the two traded massive shots, but it was Gaethje who got KO'd with one second left.Source: UFC
2 weeks agoMax Holloway scored a highlight-reel KO with one second left in the fifth and final round at UFC 300 to become the BMF champion. Holloway was moving back up to lightweight against Gaethje, and early on, the Hawaiian had a ton of success. Holloway was landing the better shots and outlanding Gaethje through three rounds. In the fourth round, Holloway appeared to get rocked. However, he did recover and in the fifth round, he once again was picking Gaethje apart and in the dying seconds went to the middle of the octagon and brawled with Gaethje before landing a KO with one second left. Weili got Xiaonan down at the end of the first round and sunk in a choke that appeared to put the challenger out, but the ref let the fight continue. Weili had a dominant second round, as she nearly scored a ground-and-pound TKO. However, the champ appeared to gas as she got dropped in the third round, while Xiaonan had a solid fourth.
