7/9:Philadelphia Phillies starting pitcher Zach Eflin allowed three earned runs in a five-inning stint against the Mets on Monday. The right-hander threw 84 pitches and yielded a home run to Asdrubal Cabrera. While this is not a bad outing, Eflin owners were likely expecting more against the punchless Mets. He had not allowed more than two earned runs in his six previous starts (all wins), quickly becoming a fantasy asset. The 24-year-old is enjoying a breakthrough season, posting a 7-2 record, 3.15 ERA and 67 strikeouts in 68 2/3 innings pitched over 12 starts.--Neil Tardy - RotoBaller
