2 years agoAngels' third baseman Yunel Escobar (oblique) left Sunday’s game in the seventh inning with a right intercostal strain. He will have an MRI Monday morning to determine the severity of the injury. He is considered day-to-day for now, but a DL stint remains possible for the 34-year-old. Escobar sat a few games last week with a back injury but returned Sunday and hit a home run before departing with the strain. He is hitting .274 with seven home runs and 31 RBI on the season. He is only an option in deep mixed and AL-only formats at this point. Should he miss any time, Luis Valbuena would slide over to third base allowing C.J. Cron to be the everyday first baseman.--Andy Patton - RotoBaller
