2 years agoLos Angeles Angels third baseman Yunel Escobar (oblique) felt stiffness in his side after a swing in his rehab game Wednesday, and he'll be re-evaluated before restarting his rehab assignment. It's a real disappointment, as Escobar was on track to be activated from the disabled list when rosters expanded Friday. Now it appears he'll need at least several more rehab games to prove he's 100 percent healthy, and he may not be able to return until sometime next week. The 34-year-old has hit .274 with only seven home runs and 31 RBI this season and could share time at the hot corner with Luis Valbuena when he's back, making him only attractive in AL-only affairs.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
