2 years agoAngels’ third baseman Yunel Escobar is out of the lineup for Thursday’s game against the Cleveland Indians. It is just a day off for Escobar, who was replaced by Luis Valbuena at third base. Escobar has been in a funk since the All-Star break, hitting .186/.222/.209 over his last 10 games. The 34-year-old has been a steady presence in the lineup all season, and likely will continue to be as soon as he snaps out of his slump. However, the veteran has limited power and speed and is only fantasy relevant in deep mixed and AL-only leagues for his batting average.--Andy Patton - RotoBaller
