Willie Snead IV 2020 Outlook: Low-Volume Role Player With A Low Ceiling And Floor
5 years agoWillie Snead IV has developed into a role player for the Ravens the last two seasons. Even though Lamar Jackson won the MVP in 2019 and Baltimore had two rookie receivers in the starting unit, Snead managed to catch just 31 passes (46 targets) for 339 yards and a career-high five touchdowns. He had a pedestrian 10.9 yards per catch and averaged only 21.2 yards per game in 16 contests (11 starts). The 27-year-old should once again start in three-receiver sets in 2020 alongside Marquise Brown and Miles Boykin, but the Ravens did add some rookie bodies at the position for competition. In this low-volume passing offense that will flow mostly through Brown, Boykin and Mark Andrews, Snead might have a big game or two, but his production figures to be far too inconsistent to be anything more than a WR5/6 with limited upside for fantasy owners.
