6/14:Kansas City Royals infielder Whit Merrifield collected two hits and a walk in a blowout loss against the Reds on Wednesday evening. One of those hits was a double. Merrifield will continue to provide consistency with his ability to hit for a high average and is a valuable fantasy baseball asset given his wide range of positions he is eligible at. Even though he is at the top of a Royals lineup that provides the 28th most runs in baseball, Merrifield will stay relevant by hitting for average and stealing a decent amount of bases. He currently owns a solid .294 average to go along with 31 runs scored and 14 stolen bases so far this season.--Tommy Vaughn - RotoBaller
