Wendell Carter Jr. 2018-19 Player Outlook
6 years agoChicago Bulls rookie forward/center Wendell Carter Jr. enters the season as one of the more underrated fantasy rookies. Carter was a solid big man in his only year at Duke University with season averages of 13.5 points on 56.1 percent shooting, 9.1 rebounds and 2.1 blocks per game. What’s even more impressive is Carter’s 41.3 percent shooting from three-point range. With the league moving past “true” centers and embracing the play of small ball and stretch-forwards, Carter’s skill set matches up well with the direction the league is moving with. As of now, Robin Lopez will start the season at center, but the Bulls have made it clear they will develop their young assets if the season starts to go south. Carter could find himself in the starting lineup sooner rather than later, making him an interesting long-term fantasy option in standard leagues.
