2 years agoMiami Marlins starting pitcher Wei-Yin Chen threw seven scoreless innings in by far his best start as a Marlin last week. This week he faces the mostly punchless Phillies, but that doesn't make him a shoe-in start for fantasy owners. Many of the Philadelphia regulars have had success against Chen since last season. In two starts against the Phillies in 2016, Chen gave up 11 runs and was pounded for 28 hits over 16 1/3 innings. Although he was spectacular in his last outing, Chen was rocked for six earned runs in three innings the previous time out. Chen is recommended as a tournament play only today, unless you are a points league owner with a strong sense of courage.--Pierre Camus - RotoBaller
