Walker Buehler Pitches Three Solid Innings in Rehab Start
7/4:Los Angeles Dodgers rookie pitcher Walker Buehler (ribs) made a rehab start for Class-A Rancho Cucamonga on Tuesday. He went three innings, striking out five batters and walking just one on 41 pitches. He was pulled after giving up a leadoff triple in the fourth inning, a run which later scored on a sacrifice fly. It was just the second hit he allowed. The 23-year-old has been struggling with a microfracture in his ribs after taking a line drive in the chest last month. While this outing was encouraging, the Dodgers have no plans to rush him back to the big leagues. He will probably make at least another start or two in the minors before they recall him.
