Tyreke Evans 2018-19 Player Outlook
6 years agoIndiana Pacers guard/forward Tyreke Evans finds himself on a fourth different team in four years, which is never a good sign for a player, but his constant changing of teams is actually misleading. The former NBA Rookie of the Year has had a lot of injury problems throughout his nine-year career and things have been especially ugly in recent seasons, which means that teams haven't been willing to take a risk on him. But Memphis did last year and got well rewarded, although Evans again missed 30 games. However, he did very little wrong when he could play, averaging 19.2 points, 5.2 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game, shooting 45.2 percent from the field and just below 40 percent from deep. We can't expect the same kind of stats from him in Indiana, as he's set to take a bench role behind Victor Oladipo, but Evans should still get some decent minutes and his versatility makes him an appealing fantasy option as a late-round draft pick.
