5/19:Los Angeles Angels starting pitcher Tyler Skaggs (oblique) was cleared for a throwing program that will begin on Monday. Skaggs is optimistic that he can beat the 10- to 12-week diagnosis for a return to the field, and he is three weeks into his disabled list stint. He wants to build on his 3.99 ERA this season and his 3.41 FIP shows that he is a bit unlucky. The most intriguing thing about Skaggs is his strikeout potential, as he has struck out 29 in 29 1/3 innings this season and had 9.06 strikeouts per nine in 49 2/3 innings last season. Skaggs' 16:5 K:BB is better than his 12.3 percent last season, and he is worthy of a pickup in 12-plus team leagues when he is activated.--Chris Zolli - RotoBaller
