Tyler Boyd 2020 Outlook: Has He Hit His Ceiling?
5 years agoCincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tyler Boyd took over as the team's No. 1 option in 2019 after star wideout A.J. Green's season ended as a result of a foot injury suffered during training camp. While Boyd only grabbed five touchdowns, a two-score regression from his previous season, he did haul in 90 of his 148 targets for a total of 1,046 yards, which were all the highest marks of his career. Heading into the 2020 campaign, the Bengals have plenty of eager receivers who will all be looking for the attention of new rookie signal-caller Joe Burrow after the team released longtime quarterback, Andy Dalton. With Cincy retaining a healthy Green's services via the franchise tag, along with John Ross III and Tee Higgins in the mix, it is realistic to expect a step back for the 25-year-old.
