Tyler Anderson Is Solid For A Colorado Pitcher
7 years agoTyler Anderson spent much of 2017 in a familiar location, the disabled list. Anderson was sidelined for the majority of the season due to a knee injury that required surgery to repair. Anderson also missed the entire 2015 season and the start of the 2016 season due to an elbow injury. He flashed what he was capable of in 2016 by posting a 3.54 ERA that was backed up by a 3.59 FIP, but he has to stay healthy to make it count. He’ll enter 2018 slotted as the Rockies number two starter, and if he can stay healthy and as effective as he’s previously been, he could have some mixed league value. He’s still a Colorado pitcher, and he’s not terribly dominating, so owners should be hesitant about investing much in him. However, he’s got the talent to put together some solid runs during the season. Consider him as a last-round flyer in most leagues.
