7/16:The Toronto Blue Jays may have only played three games post-All-Star Beak so far, but no one can deny outfielder Jose Bautista is starting off the second half the right way. In a 6-5 loss in Detroit to the Tigers on Sunday, Joey Bats finished 1-for-5 with two RBI. It was only one hit, but he made it count with his 16th home run of the season. That marks two home runs in three games for Bautista since play resumed on Friday. Given his first half struggles and inconsistency, his early second half play is an extremely welcome sight for fantasy owners. However, it’s that very inconsistency that led fantasy players to buy in perhaps a bit too heavily on Bautista when he did have his short hot streaks in the first half. We’d recommend selling if someone in your league is a big Bautista believer; there’s no indicators so far this is the Joey Bats of old instead of the same frustrating one we saw in April through early July.--Andrew Bua - RotoBaller
