2/13:Minnesota Twins general manager Thad Levine said on Tuesday that the team may not be adding a bat before the season begins, according to Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com. When Levine was asked about adding a bat, he said, “The starting [pitching] is more of a need. And so we’re going to address our needs first and then see what reserves we have at that juncture.” Starting pitcher Ervin Santana is getting a second look at his finger in New York over the next day or so, but the Twins could be without their top starter from 2017 for a month. The team was already looking at starters before Santana's injury, and now the need is even more dire. They were in on Yu Darvish before fading at the end and could be a destination for free agents Alex Cobb or Lance Lynn among pitchers.--Chris Zolli - RotoBaller
