Tutu Atwell 2024 Outlook – Not Easy Being The Third Option Again
6 months agoAtwell was the young Los Angeles Rams receiver who looked like had the better chance of being a breakout star last season since he was drafted in the second round in 2022, yet he was overshadowed by Cinderella story Puka Nacua, who racked up 105 receptions and 1,486 yards in his record-breaking rookie campaign. After starting strong, Atwell faltered badly at the end of the season, catching just three passes for a paltry 16 yards over L.A.'s final five games. Instead of being the Rams No. 2 WR heading into the 2024 campaign, Atwell is a distant third behind Nacua and All-World receiver Cooper Kupp. Even worse, he might be fourth, fifth or sixth on the target list for QB Matthew Stafford, depending on how many looks WR Demarcus Robinson, TE Colby Parkinson, and RB Kyren Williams get from the starting signal caller. Atwell has a bright future playing the role of the small speedburner in Sean McVay's offense. He just has to wait his turn for targets. Feel free to draft the 5'9", 165-pound wunderkind in dynasty leagues and hope he takes his game to the next level in 2024. Atwell should be a bigger fantasy force than Robinson or any Rams tight end, but he has a low ceiling unless Kupp or Nacua get banged-up.
