Tucker Kraft 2024 Outlook – Green Bay’s Tight End Tandem Hurts Fantasy Value
7 months agoKraft was not expected to be a fantasy force during his rookie campaign since Green Bay had selected another tight end (Luke Musgrave) a round ahead of him in the 2023 draft. Kraft languished in the role of the No. 2 TE and had no fantasy value until Musgrave had his kidney lacerated in mid-November. That forced Kraft to be Green Bay's top tight end and he did a solid job, including a four-game stretch where he had at least four receptions for 48 yards each week. Kraft and Musgrave split the time and targets when the latter returned for the Packers playoff run, so the jury is out on how the tight end target totals will be this year. As long as Musgrave is healthy it is hard to see Kraft putting up numbers good enough to find himself on a fantasy team. The Packers have a wealth of wide receivers for Jordan Love to throw to, so splitting the targets between that group and Musgrave is not going to leave Kraft many crumbs to nibble on. He would likely be a starter for many other NFL teams, but for now he is relegated to either backing up Musgrave or being a co-starter with him, which will not help his fantasy worth. Kraft is a TE3 only hopeful of being a TE2 if Musgrave suffers another injury.
