7/17:St. Louis Cardinals relief pitcher Trevor Rosenthal is next in line for saves in St. Louis after Seung Hwan Oh was removed from the role and a brief attempt at a closer-by-committee yielded two blown saves in three games. Oh and Brett Cecil may still mix in for save chances now and then, but it seems manager Mike Matheny will try Rosenthal out in the ninth inning for now. Matheny said he doesn't “think it’s right for us quite yet to make the statement on who is going to pitch the ninth and give anybody that title” but it would seem the job is Rosenthal's to lose. He can be added in mixed leagues on teams that have an open bullpen spot.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
