Trevor Ariza 2018-19 Player Outlook
6 years agoPhoenix Suns forward Trevor Ariza will offer a veteran presence for a young team this upcoming season, with his real-life value being a lot bigger than his fantasy value. Ariza has been a great three-and-d guy in the league for many years, but he looks set to start the season as a bench player and that will have a big negative effect on his stats. He played 33.9 minutes per game for the Rockets last season, scoring 11.7 points with 4.4 rebounds and 1.5 steals. He still has potential to get 30-plus minutes in Phoenix, especially early in the year with Devin Booker (hand) out, but T.J. Warren is the starting small forward and there are a lot of young guys the franchise will want to develop. Some believe Ariza is just a trade chip for the Suns after they signed him to a one-year, 15-million deal, so his situation could turn out to be better, or possibly even worse, during the latter half of the season.
