Torrey Craig 2019 Player Outlook
5 years agoComing off a summer in which Denver Nuggets forward Torrey Craig made Team USA’s Select squad, he appears in line to be heavily relied upon coming into the 2019-20 campaign. Unfortunately for his fantasy outlook, he remains a defense-oriented stalwart for Denver. Despite earning 37 starts last season, Craig averaged just 5.7 points and 3.5 rebounds across 20 minutes on a nightly basis. The tremendous depth of the Nuggets’ roster poses a reality in which it's difficult to see how Craig accrues enough playing time in order to justify a roster slot in traditional fantasy formats, even if his offensive game has taken an incremental jump in his third season. He’ll likely maintain value in the DFS market on smaller slates due to his low price tag, but those owners in season-long leagues can likely leave the 28-year-old on the wire.
