2 years agoWith a few injuries to their starting rotation and failed attempts to fill the void, the New York Mets turned to outside the organization to find a new patchwork solution. Enter pitcher Tommy Milone. Milone made his Mets debut on Wednesday against the Giants, allowing two earned runs on six hits and two walks while striking out five in five innings pitched. He would have earned the win had closer Jeurys Familia not blown the save with a horrendous ninth inning. All things considered, Milone pitched a solid outing, even if it was against a weak Giants offense. Milone isn’t much of a fantasy option, but he should continue to provide the Mets with decent back-end rotation depth in the interim.--John Smith
