8 months agoNew York Jets head coach Todd Bowles will take back some of the play-calling duties from defensive coordinator Kacy Rodgers heading into Week 4. Specifically, Bowles will call the plays in two-minute and hurry-up situations, according to sources. The Jets defense was able to handle Browns quarterback Tyrod Taylor in the first half of last week's Thursday night game, but rookie Baker Mayfield couldn't be stopped in the second half. Bowles is taking over mainly to improve the communication before the snap, as the Jets defense was often not ready when Baker was leading the offense at a quicker pace. The Jets defense isn't a streaming option this week against the Jaguars.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
