The Vancouver Canucks defeated the Calgary Flames on Sunday night by a score of 5-2 thanks to Thatcher Demko’s solid performance in net. He allowed just two goals on 25 shots. The young netminder has had an up-and-down season to date following a pattern of one-good-game-one-bad-game for the past month and a half. Despite the inconsistencies, he’s won his last three appearances. Defenseman Tyler Myers led the offense with three points, including two goals. With 13 points in 40 games, he’s at risk of missing the 30-point mark. Winger Tanner Pearson also had two goals and an assist which gave him five points in three games. He has a shot at a 50-point season. Center Bo Horvat added two assists. Calgary goalie David Rittich was chased from the game halfway through the first period after allowing three goals on seven shots.--Marc Hulet - RotoBaller
